Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has opened his mouth, again, but this time it was smack talk.

Jones enjoys living in the past because the present is not worth enjoying. The Cowboys are currently 4-4, first in the NFC East. They should easily be 6-2, but they aren't. Many things are wrong with the Cowboys, but I'm here to talk about Jones' latest quote concerning Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson and retired cornerback Deion Sanders.

After Johnson totaled 329 receiving yards in a win against Dallas on Sunday, Jones went on his radio show two days later to answer the burning question on everyone's mind: If Deion Sanders was currently playing, could he have shutdown Megatron?

'Yes, I do. That's just it,' Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM. 'Deion has such catch-up speed and he had real good center-field ability, and I mean that in [a] football sense. He could really play the ball, and he had such ability to get into position to play the ball ' I do think he could do a real good job on Johnson. Johnson's going to get some probably, but I think he could do a great job.'

Unfortunately the man who had the job of defending Johnson was Brandon Carr. Johnson torched Carr, catching 14 passes and one touchdown.

At 71-years-old, Jones continues to show everyone that he is out of touch with reality and doesn't know what he is doing anymore. Jones has owned the Cowboys since 1989, and the Cowboys haven't won a Super Bowl since 1995. Jones needs to understand that he shouldn't focus on answering questions that do nothing but hurt his team and realize that he needs to focus on helping his team get better.
